Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was such as good time for our family! We woke the kids up at about 7am and opened presents at home with just us. Then we went to Jean & Mick's (Justin's mom) house to open presents. We ate turkey lunch at Randy's house. Then, went back to Jeans for a prime rib dinner.

Me and Dani
I took Billy to the store and let him pick out presents for Justin, Dani and his grandparents. It was so funny! He picked out for his Dad, a Hot Wheels loop race track. He said, "Now dad can play race cars with me!" On Christmas morning, he was so excited when Justin opened it. Other presents he picked out: Dress up shoes for Dani (that would fit a 5 yr old), Big, pink hoop earrings for Grandma Vicky, a blue watch for Grandpa Gary (who doesn't like wearing a watch), Red beaded necklace (see below) for NeeNee Jean, a Scooby Doo video game for Grandpa Mick.
Billy was so excited over the gifts!
Dani's 1st Christmas! She's so cute!!

Christmas at Jean & Micks.
Dani was ready for a nap. She curled up with a gift bag.Dani is starting to walk.
NeeNee's gift. She'll probably kill me for posting this picture.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Randy's House. We had a great time!

Kaylee, Brady and Billy.

Lizzy reading to Billy.
The Christmas tree.

"What? Don't I look innocent?"

Santa made his appearance.

When Billy was sitting on Santa's lap, he said, "You talk like my dad." Dani did not like Santa!

"Look at my loose tooth." Maybe next year, we'll be singing, all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.

Lizzy & Dani
Yes, this is my brother-in-law, Brennon, and Yes, that's a coin up his nose.

The kids playing chutes and ladders. Dani was trying to play, too, but she was just getting in their way. Brady kept saying, "No babies allowed!"

Billy telling Lizzy a story. Billy gets that look on his face when he's telling a real whopper. He has quite the imagination!
Kaylee in her new snowsuit.

Dani likes her new rocking horse that santa brought. Santa found it at Kaleidoscope Toys in Salida, which has the coolest toys. They have lots of unique toys and Thomas the tank trains (which Billy loves).

Billy showing off his new DVD. Brady is less than impressed and Kaylee is more interested in the camera.

At the end of a long day, Dani was out like a light in her cozy new camo coat that grandpa got for her.

Christmas at Grandma's House

We went to Denver for the weekend before Christmas. What a great way to kick off Christmas! The kids had so much fun! With our busy lives, we hardly get to spend time with my brother Jason and his family. The kids had fun playing together. As we were waiting for dinner, we busted the kids sneaking candy. They had a pretty good system going, they just forgot to swallow, before coming back out to the living room! Oh, to be a kid again!!

Grandma and Ethan opening presents.

Uncle Jason and Dani.
Mackenzie and Jaselyn with their new earmuffs and matching hats and scarves that my mom made.

Mackenzie and Dani - how cute they are!

Billy opening presents.

Dani loved Grandma's homemade brownie bottom cheesecake... it's the best!!!

Dani's 1st Christmas!

Christmas Cookies

Billy and I had so much fun baking Christmas cookies and candy! Billy loves to bake! Billy decided he wanted to make green and blue cookies. So, we got out the food coloring and of course Billy had to taste it.

Billy loves sprinkles! We went through a lot, because he decided the fudge and peanut butter cups also needed sprinkles!

Billy The Kid

We spent the weekend before Christmas with my family in Denver. On friday night, we took Billy to Casa Bonita. Billy loves it! There's so much to do and see. We got Billy to dress up like a "Bad Guy" for some photos. (Lucky for me, they let us buy the copyright-free CD so I could post these.) The photographer told Billy, "Smile." Then, he'd say, "No, give me a nice, soft smile." But, that's no fun. So I told Billy, "Show me your mean face! You're a bad guy." Much better!! We bought the 8x10 portrait with the "Wanted: Dead or Alive" Poster frame. Everytime we'd show someone, Billy would say, "That's me being a bad guy!"

Winter's Finally Here!!

I'm so glad that winter is here! We had so much fun sledding this weekend!! This is our front yard in Howard, CO. We have the perfect sledding hill. We are so lucky to be able to live in Colorado. So far, we have about 18-20 inches, and it's still snowing. These are the days, when the best thing to do is sled, then go in and warm up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate! Billy had so much fun, even his friend cow went a few times!
