Pumpkin Carving

We're getting ready for Halloween! After we picked out pumpkins, Billy told me that this year he wanted to make a "real" Jack-o-latern. In years past, we've just painted pumpkins. This year, Billy got to carve his pumpkin and Dani painted hers.



Billy wouldn't touch the guts. He said it would make his hands yucky. So he scooped out the guts.


Billy accidently touched the inside of the pumpkin, he thought it was gross!


Dani was excited to paint her pumpkin (which was actually a gord of some kind). Billy helped Dani pick out a green pumpkin.

Billy added some Mr Potatoe head pieces to his pumpkin.

Dani not only painted the pumpkin, but also herself...

When Billy was done carving, he decided he still wanted to paint it red.

Wild Iris Store - New Shopping Cart

Hello!! We've been working hard, trying to make our website and blog more functional and user-friendly. But, as I'm finding out, it's not always as easy as it sounds. But, we are officially on our new server, and have added a shopping cart. Previously, the studio used a third party hosting company where clients could order prints online. However, it wasn't always easy to get images online or talk to a real person when there was a problem. At Wild Iris, personal service and high quality are a priority.

Now, with the shopping cart linked directly to our website, wildirisstudio.com. All orders will come directly to the studio and will have the same quality control. And, of course, there's a live person to answer questions!

We've got a few galleries online, now. We are working on updating the website to add a link from the home page.

Pumpkin Patch & Maze

We recently went to a pumpkin patch to let Billy & Dani pick out pumpkins for Halloween. We met up with my best friend, Melissa, her daughter Jaeli and our parents. At the pumpkin patch, they also had a maze. We thought that it would be fun and it was!! Although, it wasn't just a maze that you want to find your way out. They gave us each a punch card, and if you found each punch #1 - 10, you get a free pumpkin. So, we took the challenge...

Finally, punch #10. It was a difficult maze! Half of the maze is circles and figure 8's, and then more circles. I was so turned around in there, I had no idea how to get anywhere!

Woo Hoo!! After 2 hours in the maze, we had all the punches, and found our way out! Now, to find the perfect pumpkin...
And, of course, there were rides.... Billy said he won the race!
