Camping Out

It has been a great summer! Although, I can't believe that summer is over and kids are going back to school! Billy has orientation for his new preschool on Monday! My little boy is growing up way too fast!!! Wild Iris has been so busy, I've been working long hours, at least 6 days a week. So, last weekend, we decided to get away for our first camping trip since we've had kids. Every year, we say we're going to go camping, then the summer gets busy, then is gone before we know it. When August rolled around, Justin and I decided, no more putting it off, Billy needs to go camping. We closed the shop Thursday and Friday, then headed out for the weekend. I was a little nervous about taking Dani camping, she still gets up at least once every night at home. She did surprisingly well! She slept no worse than at home and all and all she was pretty darn good! She even pulled herself to a stand for the first time ever! Billy and Justin went fishing every day and caught and released about 30 fish!! Billy would get so excited each time they caught one. He told us on Saturday that he wanted to camp forever.

Billy made a friend with a duck. It was the only duck on the entire lake and was there every day when they went fishing.

After a few days of camping, I was looking pretty rough. Dani was enjoying the ride in her snugly.

Look at my little man.
While Dani and I were back at camp, Billy told Justin, "Later, mom's going to take my picture on that rock." He sure had a good idea.
